FOUNDERS

Brent and Melissa grew up in entrepreneurial homes. As a young boy Brent ignited his love of horse racing by traveling to different race tracks across the country with his family. Called to be an entrepreneur Brent learned to build businesses while Melissa grew her career in managing large scale construction projects.

Built on their professional foundations, they were challenged by God’s call to build a business that brings people together. They took a bold leap and ignited Blaze Racing Co. rooted in faith, family and fun for the thrill of the race.

TRAINER

A 4th generation horseman, Tyler started driving horses before driving a car. Growing up in the business, he quickly grabbed the reins and became Youth Driver of the Year before becoming an adult. As he settled down and started a family, he retired from driving and trains full time now.

Working with 4 top trainers in the past besides training on his own, he has developed some unique methods to getting a horse ready to race. From helping train multiple sires stakes and breeders championship horses over the years, he runs the day to day operations of taking care of Blaze Racing Co. horses. From early morning jogs to afternoon snacks, he tends to the horses’ everyday needs.

Every racehorse deserves a chance to be a horse and kick back and relax. Trotter’s Run Farm has been our partner from the beginning allowing us to use a portion of their 3 fenced paddocks to give the horses a chance to graze, run, and be free from the day to day training of racing.

Established over 20 years ago, Trotter’s Run Farm has been home to 3 track record holders over the years, multiple broodmares and babies and provides a 1st class niche farm to select owners and trainers. With a convenient location in southwest Ohio, getting to and from the training facilities and half of the professional tracks in Ohio is within a half hour drive.
